Pre-meeting Questions

The goal for any productive peacemaking problem-solving meetings should be to help people resolve differences and discuss things in a cooperative peacemaking biblical manner rather than the typical adversarial debate.

Each person should do their best to think deeply about the following questions and write down their answers.

Background information on the concerns, problems or disputes

Before you complete this section, please read all seven ** questions so that you can see how to organize your answers.

1. Briefly describe from your viewpoint the problem or dispute
             (You can give us more detailed information later):

 

2. What have you done to try to resolve this problem or dispute?

3. What issues or questions do you want to have resolved or answered?

 

4. What do you want us to do? or if alone - What are your hopes and expectations in coming here?

 

5. What do you want from the other party? If this is a legal matter, what claim or remedy do you seek? (Include dollar amount, if any.)

 

6. Is there any other information we should know? Any hidden agendas?

 

7. What do we want to see accomplished as the outcome of this meeting?
            During the meetings think of how you will respond to the following:

 

 

* Be prepared to describe the problem/s or situation from your own viewpoint without the use of un-wholesome words or finger pointing blame talk - use an outline if needed.( Try your best to separate the incidents from the person) Your session will be uninterrupted by others.
