Frequently asked questions:
What makes this monitoring/pasture management method unique?
It's good news for grazers, finely we have developed a fast, easy to do land monitoring/management method that is solution orientated. Designed for busy farmers and ranchers who want to greatly improve their pasture management.   This kind of monitoring comes before management.

How does this method work?
Simple. You walk any area with a set of hand-held land monitoring photos and instruction cards. It only takes a few minutes to self-discover existing land health conditions and identify concerns.

How does Pasture Walking fix problems?
Through answering questions outlined in the *Pasture Analyzer*. You will start to discover the hidden causes of pasture problems. You are given a list of pass/fail questions that helps you make good sound, goal orientated decisions before you spend hard earned $$$$ or waste time.

Does this method work anywhere?

Sure does! WHY? Because it’s based upon principles that are actually biological laws.
Real Principles work anywhere any time.  Example: Treat the cause. not the symptom.

What other biological principles is this method based upon?

*   Healthy pastures require periodic disturbances and full recovery
     *  Land idle-itis is unhealthy in wet or dry climates (long-term rest)  depending on the purpose
     *  Most animals are severe grazers (They can bite down to the 1/2 inch level - Just watch the tongue)
     *  Biting fresh regrowth on certain high producing plants shrivel root systems
     *  Certain plants need adequate rest for full recovery before second bite is allowed
     *  Sunlight energy not captured is lost profit forever!
     * Without a purpose, decisions lack direction
*. Provide down yellow litter to feed the soils between the plants

When should you Pasture Walk?

The answer is ALL-THE-TIME! Pasture walk before pasture management. Don’t manage and then go monitor. Pasture Walk first, so you can fix problems - then Pasture Walk again.

How does this method monitor change?
Re-locatable Quick Plots are permanently marked in areas that you predict change.  Plant species and other important indicator factors are documented and photographed
